Apple Relish

Apples are one of nature’s most delicious treats, and they are not just limited to being the star of the show in apple pie! This recipe takes apples and transforms them into a savory delight by turning them into a a relish. This dish is fun, easy to make, and serves as the perfect side kick to just about any dish that you can serve. Give this one a try and ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, cored and diced (leave the skin on)
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 large onions, dices
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 red sweet pepper, diced

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a large pot.

Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.

Let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes.

Remove from heat and let stand until room temperature.

The relish is ready for use or can be stored, covered, in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
