In Japan, fried chicken and hot sake is the ultimate holiday food tradition. SO, here at Grilla Grills we are going to show you how to make fried chicken on your smoker! This recipe is fun, interesting, and tasty. Give it shot and enjoy! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ingredients

  • 1 frying chicken, cut into pieces (legs, thighs, breasts, and so-on)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons Grilla Grills "What Da Cluck" Rub
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour

Directions

Preheat your smoker to 325 degrees.

In a small bowl, beat the egg and add the evaporated milk; mix thoroughly.

In another bowl, mix together the dry rub, flour, and baking powder.

Melt the butter and use to grease a metal sheet baking tray.

Dip the chicken in the egg/milk mixture and then roll in the flour until evenly coated.

Put all the chicken on the greased tray and place into the smoker; cook for 30 minutes.

Raise the heat to 375 degrees and cook for another 30 minutes or until you reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Remove from smoker and let rest for 10 minutes.

ENJOY!!!
