Smoked Marinated Flank Steak

Flank Steak is the ultimate steak for marinating and this simple, yet straight forward, recipe will show you why! The flank steak comes from the lower chest of the steer, and has a unique grainy quality that lends itself well to taking on the flavors of a marinade. This dish is extremely versatile as it can be served hot with a few sides at dinner or cold on a salad at lunch; we hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups steak marinade (recipe at grillagrills.com)
  • 1 flank steak

Directions

Place the flank steak in a zip lock bag and pour in the marinade. Shake well and place into the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Remove the steak from the frig and take out of the bag, let stand at room temperature for one hour. Preheat your grill to 225 degrees and place steak inside to smoke for one and a half hours or until you reach an internal temperature of 135 degrees. Let rest for 15 minutes, slice, serve, enjoy!
