Weight: 90 lbs 2-Year Warranty Frequently Asked Questions about the Chimp How do I get replacement parts for the Chimp? Replacement parts for the Chimp can be purchased online. Can I sear with the Chimp? Yes! Simply crank up your heat to 450° towards the end of you cook. For those extremely defined grill marks, we also offer custom Grill Grates customized specifically for the Chimp. How do I season my Chimp? Before you get to smoking, it's important to season your smoker. This process will remove any manufacturing oils left on the grill. Run your grill for 45 minutes at 450°, then you are ready to either shut it off, or start smoking. Refer to the manual or this video for additional instructions. Do I have to buy a specific brand of pellets to use with the Chimp? Nope! Any food grade wood pellet will work in these units. That being said, we do recommend using quality hardwood pellet fuel, as opposed to alder wood (which tends to burn a lot faster). We provide plenty of information on how to find and use wood pellets How many cooks can I get with a full hopper? At an average cooking temperature of 250°, pellets burn at about a pound an hour. Overall a hopper holds 15 lbs of pellets and will cook for around 10-15 hours. How hard is it to assemble the Chimp? You don't need a giant manual or to be a mechanical engineer to assemble our grills. With just a few screws to install, you'll be up and running in 15-minutes. Will the Chimp maintain cooking temperatures in cold weather? You bet! Our pellet grills are come standard with a double wall Internal Steel Thermal Jacket. This heavy-duty design features a double wall liner for more efficient cooking when the temperature drops below 55° F: up to 33% more efficient than single wall pellet smokers (which most are by the way). That means you're going to burn less fuel in cold weather, you don't need thermal blankets and you have a full range of operating temperatures in any climate. No more messy smoky blanket storage because you've got the all season performance of grills that cost twice as much. What's the best wood pellet grill? The best wood pellet grill should have an excellent range of features and a reasonable price. The Silverbac, Grilla and Chimp offer an unmatched level of construction and technology at a price point that won’t break the bank. From stainless steel construction (where it counts) to the game changing WiFi enabled Alpha Connect controller, you won’t find a better pellet grill for the price. Are wood pellet grills healthy? This is a deeper question than it might appear at first, but on one level, choosing to cook foods on a wood pellet grill will generally provide a lower calorie, lower fat option than say pan frying or deep frying that same food. How do wood pellet grills work? Pellet grills work off of electricity, so they need an outlet to supply their power. That electricity allows the grill to move pellets into the hopper and funnel them down to a firepot using a rotating auger and motor. Once the pellets hit the firepot an igniter rod sparks a flame and smoke is produced. The electricity powers a fan that blows that smoke and heat upwards which then provides smoky, convection cooking throughout the grill. All of this is taken care of by your Alpha Connect controller, so you don't have to worry about anything but eating! { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "FAQPage", "mainEntity": [ { "@type": "Question", "name": "How do I get replacement parts for the Chimp?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "Replacement parts for the Chimp can be purchased online." } }, { "@type": "Question", "name": "Can I sear with the Chimp?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "Yes! Best food and happiest husband ever!

It's wonderful. The best Father's Day gift I could've given my husband. He made the best ribs I have ever had in my life (even after spending an afternoon and a ton of money at a BBQ Competition with tons of competitors to choose from that resulted in mega disappointment). And, then we just hosted a neighborhood party and treated everyone to the most tender and juicy Boston Butt. My husband has a new hobby and I get treated to great food. Thanks Grilla Grills. And, thanks for the videos and the recipes and the great customer service and the blog and the opportunity to come and hang out at your headquarters for that event your hosting soon.

6 months in and love it!

I have had my Grilla Chimp for right at 6 months now. I use it almost every day. I love this thing. No way around it. I had a Green Mountain smoker of comparable size before which was not a great experience. I decided to upgrade so I wouldn't have to deal with that again. Great decision and worth the money! It has smoked everything from whole chicken and wings to brisket and Boston butts. The searing quality is good but you need to get the searing grates that Grilla sells or similar. I also recommend getting the grill cover they sell too. The thing that makes this grill so awesome is the portability. I live on the road traveling for work in my camper and I can take this thing anywhere or pack it up and go in just minutes. This is a small pellet grill but I PROMISE you, it'll handle what you need it to do. Especially with the rack attachments they sell. I've made wings and ribs for 4 people in one single cook with this thing. That's impressive. The ONLY problem I have ever had, was with the shelf attachment. A bad wind blew through a campsite I was at and knocked the grill over, which caused the shelf attachment to bend at the attachment points. I don't think I'll ever get another one on there because the screws are twisted. But you can't help mother nature and it didn't affect the grills performance at all. In fact, no dings on the stainless of the actual grill from knocking over. One last thing: the keypad on my grill wouldnt turn on a few days ago, so I contacted support. I was so bummed. I explained the problem to the rep and she had a replacement keypad to me in NO time at all. Easy to replace, and it works like new again. Destiny Gilbert with Grilla support was great.

It was my first time using a pellet grill I love it, although the meat probe doesn’t seem to be as accurate as it should be, I was also using my Wi-Fi meater thermometer to make sure I got the correct cook… I plan on using it more often if you have any tips on using the meat probe please let me know.

Chimp

So far so good! Shipping and delivery was faster than expected. Grill is stout!! Love the Wi-Fi controller. Wish it came with a pellet dump out the back like the bigger grill and the cover as I’ve heard from some reviews that the controller isn’t weather sealed (might be older models?) I added a cover, front shelf, Jerky rack, pizza stone, and the **** my chimp kit. I’m a big coal/ stick burner guy myself- but the simplicity of this pellet thing is like cheating. CUSTOMER SERVICE has been great! Questions and emails have all been answered within a day of posting! Will update as time goes on!!
